In addition to Anne’s work as a director and choreographer, she has devoted much time to the education of future theatre artists. Currently, Anne works in higher eduction. and has taught in both BFA and BA theatre and musical theatre programs. Previously, she worked in several public schools in the New York City area as a teaching artist, choreographed at multiple high-schools in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and taught at Factory Street Studio, the only dance studio in Athens, Ohio while pursuing her MFA in directing.
Anne has served as the head of theatre at French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts. FWF is one of the top performing arts camps in the country, serving children aged 7-17. Anne oversaw the producing of over seventy productions a summer, managed a theatre staff of 80, scheduled and oversaw dozens of theatre classes, and directed and choreographed multiple productions a summer.
Through her work, Anne strives to create inclusive and equitable spaces for creativity to flourish. In her first production at Nebraska Wesleyan University, Anne spearheaded a new works cabaret in which she collaborated with New York City composers and lyricists to bring new music to Lincoln, and new connections for her students. This production featured work from a diverse group of writers that reflected the experiences of the cast, highlighting traditionally under-represented stories and voices in musical theatre. Since then, she advocated for further partnership between NWU and composer Kailey Marshall. In the spring of 2023, NWU is producing a world premier of a commissioned work by Marshall.
